Frequently asked questions

What are HIP-4 outcome markets?

HIP-4 is the Hyperliquid standard for outcome markets — on-chain prediction markets where each contract resolves to a defined outcome. Traders buy and sell shares priced between 0 and 1 that pay out 1 if the outcome occurs and 0 if it doesn't, so the live price is a direct read on the crowd's implied probability.

How are the odds on this dashboard calculated?

The percentages are live mid prices pulled from Hyperliquid's public API (the allMids feed). For a binary market the affirmative side's mid is the implied probability; for a multi-outcome question each outcome's share of the total is its probability. The board refreshes continuously.

What's the difference between HIP-3 and HIP-4?

HIP-3 covers builder-deployed perpetual futures — leveraged, funded, liquidatable contracts. HIP-4 covers outcome markets — fully collateralized binary or multi-outcome contracts with no leverage, no funding and a fixed resolution. They're separate primitives sharing the same exchange infrastructure.

What collateral do HIP-4 markets use?

Outcome markets settle in their quote token, shown on each card (commonly USDC or USDH). Because positions are fully collateralized, the quote token is locked at open and redeemed against the settled outcome — there is no margin to top up.

Can I trade HIP-4 markets programmatically?

Yes. The openbroker CLI exposes outcome markets as first-class commands — list them with openbroker outcomes and trade them with openbroker outcome-buy / outcome-sell, including dry-run previews. The same calls are available to autonomous agents through the OpenClaw plugin.

Are HIP-4 prediction markets live on mainnet?

Yes — outcome markets are live on Hyperliquid mainnet. The set of active markets rotates as builders deploy new questions and existing ones resolve, which is why this dashboard reads them live rather than hard-coding a list.
